Singer Nezza has claimed the LA Dodgers tried to stop her singing a Spanish rendition of the American national anthem Saturday night, before she stunningly defied their request as a show of solidarity with ICE protestors in the city.
Nezza, whose real name is Vanessa Hernandez, planned the poignant tribute on the day of 'No Kings' protests across the United States over Donald Trump's controversial immigration policies, which comes after a week of unrest in Los Angeles.
Yet much to her dismay, she was told by the Dodgers to perform the anthem in English ahead of their game against the San Francisco Giants.
In a shocking post on TikTok, the R&B artist shared a clip of what she says was a Dodgers official, from off-camera, telling her that she was required to forget the sing the anthem in English.
'We are going to do the song in English today,' the woman can be heard saying in the footage, to which Nezza looks visibly surprised.
However, the clip goes on to show her defying the request at Dodger Stadium.
'Watch the Dodgers tell me I can't sing the Spanish Star-Spangled Banner that Roosevelt literally comissioned in 1945,' she captioned the post. 'So I did it anyway,' she added as an extra comment when the video eventually shows her singing on the field.

I stopped watching professional sports many years ago. The Left have trashed EVERYTHING they touch.
Congress needs to pass a bill prohibiting the singing of our National Anthem in public in any language other than English. America is an English speaking country.
