Very sad that so many people derive their self-worth by worshipping a certain sports team or athlete.
I should know. I used to be absolutely devastated when my team or my hero lost.
I work at a sports bar and I remember how customers would bitch and moan when the whole kneeling during the national anthem thing was fashionable and then immediately root for those same players 5 minutes later. Pathetic.

My dad would roll over in his grave....
He was a die-hard Red Sox fan his whole life.
As a kid, he’d take me to a home game a couple of times/year...long drive for us too.
Glad he didn’t live to see such BS from his favorite team.
Me? I wouldn’t would be caught dead in Fenway Park today....or the entire MassHole Land for that matter.....
