Condolences.
Makes me SUPER nostalgic as a Californian born in later generation listening both to them and The Eagles (“California Girls” and “Hotel California”) — any song of their era really (the Mamas & the Papas “California Dreamin’ ”) pertaining to California particular.
Sad. Mike Love was in the habit of suing Cousin Brian every few years or for various and sundry ways Mike thought Brian owed him money, but at the end of the day they were family ... and close friends in their youth.
Do you just post random articles? I counted 10 in the last hour.
It’s a good thing I never made money or became famous. I’d go mad over all the grifting, suits, and drama my associates, friends, and family would drag me into.
The group that, in a way, survived for sixty years, which included Love, made some of the best music of the '60s. Brian Wilson was a musical genius and was responsible for a great part of their success.
Like all of us, Brian and some members had bad demons that impacted their success and their lives.
Thank you for the great memories you helped us make, Beach Boys.
We'll miss you, Brian!
“…before he enshrined Love at New York’s Marriott Marquis…”
“Enshrined”?
