Nixon was a brilliant politician.
Not particularly “conservative” but far better than Carter.
Watergate was a media coup against a popular, siting president.
I liked Nixon, and viewed the entire thing as a Leftist setup.
I’ll always be grateful to Richard Nixon for Linebacker II, the bombing of North Vietnam, and the mining of Haiphong Harbor.
We should have done that in 1966. At least.
Nixon founded the Environmental Protection Agency
Nixon opened China
Two really stupid things
True, perhaps, and true.
The not particularly conservative part.. I guess I don’t care anymore because I’m not sure what that even means.
Conservatives principles are not as important as defeating the deep state.
After the deep state is defeated, we can focus on conservative principles.
You’re right on all three points.
The media was happy to oblige the Deep State.
Nixon was an idiot.
No core.
Nixon surrendered to Vietnam's communists, established the EPA, set the national speed limit at 55, took the dollar off the gold standard, instituted price and wage controls in response to government spending caused inflation, started the process of outsourcing American jobs to communist China and even fell for a CCP honey pot, expanded welfare, started Affirmative Action, created OSHA. With Republicans like that, we don't need any Demonrats.
AND... what Democrats did (and have been doing ever since) is as bad and worse than what they tried to hang on him. No one wants to talk about that!!
It should be remembered as well that the UK had their fingerprints all over what happened there.
