An ally of Russian president Vladimir Putin has said that "a full-scale war" in the Middle East is possible following Israel's airstrikes on Iran.

Konstantin Kosachev, vice-speaker of Russia's upper house of parliament, made clear that Russia would stand by its ally, Iran.
"Israel's actions cannot be justified from a legal, political, military or moral point of view. The only hope, albeit illusory, of avoiding a full-scale war is a consolidated condemnation of this operation by the international community," he said, according to Russia's official TASS news agency.
"We can and must hope for another demonstration of restraint from Iran. One must always hope for the best, but naturally there are limits to [Iran's] patience."

Putin has spent the last year using up a lot of their weaponry in Ukraine, they are in a weakened state to be supplying Iran with stuff.
Iran has been openly at war with Israel for years now. Israel finally decided to take the war to them.

The Iranians still have some ballistic missiles, and their proxies probably have some weapons left. Terrorist strikes are possible as always. The Israelis are not done yet, will take a some weeks according to them. About time. I’ve been waiting for this for years.

True, but Israel is rapidly making them disappear. As for proxies, the only one, other than the Houthis, that might have any capability left is Hezbollah and as of this morning they have formally surrendered to Israel and pledged that they will not enter the conflict. Yes, we still must be on guard for terrorist attacks as well, but all of these potential threats require people, human beings, to make them happen and what we are seeing so far is those members of the Iranian leadership who have not been killed fleeing and some even defecting. The mullahs’ grip on Iran is evaporating rapidly, leaving them unable to continue to assist and supply proxies or terrorist sleepers. No doubt somewhere there will be would-be Iranian terrorists seeking revenge, but they will now be entirely on their own and no doubt Mossad and U.S. intelligence will be hunting them down.
