BOYLE HEIGHTS, Calif. (KABC) -- A man was arrested in Boyle Heights Wednesday morning after Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents rammed into his car and pinned it between two unmarked cars.
The collision was reported at 10:47 a.m. in the 3700 block of Whittier Boulevard, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department told ABC7. Witnesses said federal agents in two unmarked vehicles -- a pickup truck and an SUV -- were involved in the incident, along with a civilian vehicle, a white sedan.
LAPD said the crash was being investigated as a possible assault with a deadly weapon involving federal agents who left the scene.
In a statement, Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said it was not a hit-and-run.
"This was a targeted arrest of a violent rioter who punched a CBP officer. When Homeland Security Investigations tried to arrest Christian Damian Cerno-Camacho for the assault, he attempted to flee. He was ultimately arrested and taken into custody."
Surveillance video showed the moment the federal agents came out of one of the vehicles drawing their weapons on the car. Soon after, an agent tossed tear gas canisters near the vehicle.
A male driver, a woman passenger, a toddler and a baby in the backseat were all in the car at the moment of the incident.
Witnesses said the agents dragged the male out of the car and took off, leaving the children screaming and the woman frantic. The federal vehicles apparently departed before a small crowd gathered on the sidewalk.
No serious injuries were immediately reported, but the woman was treated by paramedics before being transported to a hospital. Her condition was not immediately known.
Aerial video from AIR7 showed LAPD officers and Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters at the crash site.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
That’s more like it.
All out war on far left crazies who attack federal officers.
Soon most of them will be in jail.
This is not 2020.
reminds me of when us air traffic controllers went on strike under Pres Reagan.if they had done it under Carter they might have escaped punishment, under Reagan they were fired...
I almost got deployed, (USAF) but I was in Germany by then. My buddy was coming to Germany at the time, from Griffiss. He was told not to answer his phone, while he was on leave, waiting to fly over. I did know a few guys, who DID get deployed during the the strike.
************************************************
I remember flying as a passenger during that strike. Midway Airlines from Midway to Detroit. It was totally clouded over coming into Detroit and everyone on the plane got very quiet as we descended blindly through the clouds.
I watched the video...I have no idea if the woman interviewed knew why he was arrested...Who knows?
In any case, the guy who got arrested did not make a good choice...He will probably spend some time in federal prison...He leave behind his wife and kid...He may be sent to a federal prison outside California...Somehow I do not think that guy thought about all those things before he attacked a federal officer...
I do not think that federal agents did anything wrong in this case...They were supposed to let this idiot get away because his wife and kid were in the car? I do not think so...Somebody, who has no problem attacking a federal agent, is very dangerous...A message has to be sent...You will not get away with attacking a federal agent...
My free advice to illegal aliens and green card holders...An illegal alien busted for attacking a federal officer...He will do the time and get deported...What about a green card holder? It is possible to revoke someone's green card for committing a serious crime...Like attacking a federal agent...
I’ve watched a few “PIT maneuver” videos where authorities stop the idiot driver. After the car slows down, 2-3 police cars (marked, unmarked, whatever) pin the auto so the prep cannot escape. There are dashcams of civilians lending a hand (with their car). There is even one of an 18 wheeler pinning the auto, then waiting for police.
Considering that when this started in Lost Angeless, the Feds were going after money laundering / Cartels, any tactic/maneuver that gets the creeps is okay.
She’ll end up suing and getting a bunch of $
I doubt if this is the first time he has been arrested. Perhaps more information will come out later.
Moron has a wife and two small children. He should not be out fighting with the police if he cares so much for his family.
I don’t care anymore.
That’s right, there’s a new sheriff in town and his name is Tom Homan.
We just needed a new President.
City denies fault in LAPD crash that left brothers with severe injuries — despite internal report
Note this bit, the LAPD officer...
...drove 80 miles per hour—well in excess of the posted speed limit—without his lights or sirens on, and crashed into Paper's car as they were making a left turn. The entire incident was caught on LAPD's dashcam...
But it's okay when the LAPD does it.
AND??? Good for ICE!
These migrant maggots and dumbasses. You assault a Federal officer, you will be tossed in jail for a while. I’ll bet everyone at that scene was a “migrant” or an anchor baby offspring of illegal aliens and migrants.
California cities are anarchic dystopian Democrat party hot messes, without the charm and class of the first Blade Runner movie.
Go watch some Arkansas State Police pursuit videos. They do PIT Maneuvers at 120 mph. Those guys don’t fool around.
A friend who has doe PIT training told me they are supposed to be 35 mph max.
And the asshat put a woman and children in danger in the commission of his crime.....
Arrest of a violent rioter who punched a CBP officer.
For every action there is a reaction DUH.
The woman was frantic and the children were screaming. Hey, lady, ya got one job: protect and calm those kids down. but know she wanted a scene.
