My doctor recommended a shingles shot. I said Nope. I’m done with all shots.
I had a friend who suffered greatly from shingles. So I got the shingles shot a long time ago. Way before COVID shots. I don’t think I’d do it today though. I don’t trust what they’re put in it now.
She told me it is a two-shot sequence a month or so apart and you should not take any other vaccinations for about 4-6 months. Then she described the side effects, which sounded like they were worse than shingles. "Your milage may vary", as they say. She was advocating the shingles vaccination too. I decide to pass.
My wife was afflicted with shingles. It was very painful and lasted for about a month. Afterwards, her doctor told her there was no point in getting a vaccination, since the shingles resurgence gives an immunity for about twenty years.

I skipped the shingles vaccine, got shingles along the belt line and lost my appetite and 12 lbs . It wasn’t that painful to me. My doc prescribed an anti viral. Lasted 3 weeks.

They’re after me to take it too. I got a tetanus shot and I asked first if it was Mrna and they said no. They knew what I was talking about but wouldn’t discuss it.
I refused the shingles vax. Had one some years ago. I no longer trust that anything sold as safe and effective is safe and effective anymore.
I see doctors now as people whose main purpose is to put you on one of Big Pharma products and advise you with fear that you need a vast array of vaccines and other high priced meds. Funny, I think we were all healthier years ago before we started pushing a vax and new designer pill for everything.
It really is your choice to take the shot or not. At least for now it seems.
It is about the money because Big Pharma owns doctors and health conglomerates. Notice how you never see thise drug sales people walking into doctors offices anymore?

Re: shingles vaccine. The VA required that I take it when I went in for hearing aids (along with a couple of others, not COVID). I had no ill effects, but I recently developed itchy patches, which I’ll have evaluated at an appointment later this month.
The shingles vaccine IS NOT an mRNA shot. Additionally, YOU are not an infant.
So your immune system should benefit from the shot.
