Illegal immigrants are not legally within the jurisdiction and should not count in proportional representation / Electors, period.

Is there a law authorizing this or did the Census Bureau just decide that as a matter of regulatory policy on its own? If the latter, winning the 2028 election becomes all the more important.

Trump tried to have only citizens and legal residents count for the 2020 census. Some Court struck that down.

President Trump attempted to make the distinction, but he was not able to stay in office to make it stick.

It might take a statutory change. The Leftist will fight it tooth and nail.

If you remember, Trump had control of the 2020 census. This was widely discussed in 2018-2019 leading up to 2020.

How quickly FR forgets history.
