Immigrants already tip scales of US elections without even voting

Immigrants don’t need to have the right to vote to affect elections in the United States — simply by being here, they can tip the scales.

The apportionment of House seats and votes in the Electoral College among the states is based on total population — not citizenship or legal status.

The Census Bureau is clear that naturalized citizens, as well as non-citizens such as green card holders, foreign students, guestworkers and illegal immigrants are captured in the census every 10 years.

Because the legal and illegal immigrant population is so large and unevenly distributed across the country, it causes some states to gain seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and Electoral College at the expense of others.

Equally important, immigration shifts political representation away from American citizens and toward states and districts with large non-citizen populations.

An investigation by the Center for Immigration Studies estimates that immigrants — legal and illegal — counted in the 2020 census shifted 17 seats in the House of Representatives and votes in the Electoral College.

The big winner is California, which has 8 more seats than it would have without immigrants.

The states that lose tend to be low-immigration states in the South and Midwest such as Ohio and Tennessee. The inclusion of non-citizens alone shifts six House seats, with half the increase going to California. Illegal immigration caused two seats to change hands.

This redistribution of political power has significant partisan implications, with Democratic-leaning states experiencing a net gain of 14 seats and electoral votes due to immigration, while Republican states had 10 fewer seats. Battlegrounds had four fewer seats.

Non-citizens alone accounted for five of the seats gained by Democratic states in the last Census.

Solution?
Every MAGA household declare that 25 people live in the basement.
No SSNs needed.

Teddy Kennedy hopefully is rotting in hell, not only for being a murderer, but also for pushing a bill to obstruct white immigrants but opening wide the door for third world immigrants.

Former Republican House Rep Candice Miller of Michigan pointed this out probably 15 or more years ago on the old Lou Dobbs show but apparently no one listened.

It wasn't really a problem at the time plus the Republicans wanted cheap labor.

Even with Obama, there was still some enforcement going on.

The Bush Family gave us this.

Ridiculous, because it's too sweeping a statement.

The Bush family were a drop in the bucket. There were many drops.

* The 1965 Immigration Act, which had many hands in it, including its Senate co-sponsors, Ted Kennedy and Jacob Javits.

* The 1986 Simpson-Mazzoli Act, which passed the Democratic House and Republican Senate, and which Reagan supported.

* All the NGOs, media, Hollywood films, teachers and academics who promoted and romanticized immigration.

* The businesses which hired illegals.

* The many politicians and media figures who knew better, didn't like what was happening, but were afraid to speak lest they be called a racist.

You cannot put this all on the Bush family.

Although one hero did warn about immigration and specifically opposed Bush 1:

Best weather in the United States and who gets it all? Illegals.

People in California who are citizens are paying for them in more ways than one.

Illegals should not be counted. They should not be here and should not be considered.

Anyone with a brain could see it was going to become a problem. Even I predicted it. Demographics is destiny no matter how much civnatcucks scream that it is not and the civil unrest in the last several years among other historical items proves it.

If you remember, Trump had control of the 2020 census. This was widely discussed in 2018-2019 leading up to 2020.

How quickly FR forgets history.

Anyone with a brain could see it was going to become a problem.

There was no political will to deal with it at the time.

South Africa made the same mistake. They did not secure their borders and they were dependent on cheap labor.

Eventually, the country fell apart.

Maybe we should just cut California loose.

The census was an early target for the communists in the 1960s...
They were playing 3-D chess, while the GOP played checkers and perfected their now-traditional circle jerk.
