Depends on how you look at it.
Along with Florida’s other hazards, I see alligators not as a problem but as a deterant to northern interlopers. 😏

I called the Florida Nuisance Gator hotline. It's good that there are no nuisance gators at FR.

What about native Floridians who want to come back? I’m not a Northern interloper.

Come on back.
Top tip: NE Florida is relatively safe from hurricanes......alligators however....are a different story. 🙂

We once dropped $4k to save one of our kitty cats and never blinked an eye.
For us with pet children, money usually doesn’t enter into the equation.

Yes.
I dropped $8k on my 10-year old shih-tzu who finally had to be euthanized - I’d gladly do it again.
Dropped another $8k on my rescue bull dog - who was apparently a lot older than what the shelter told me - I’d also do it again.
Pets are companions, family members, never complain, glad to see us when we get home. They helped me through unbelievable grief when my mother and husband died within months of each other - I don’t think I would have made it without them.

Two words “unconditional love”.....rarely provided by two legged animals.....people could learn a lot them.

LOL. We think about it a lot since the rest of my siblings/nieces/nephews/cousins/everyone’s kids are still there.
