San Francisco police arrest more anti-ICE protesters than Los Angeles

San Francisco police arrested 154 people Sunday night after a downtown protest against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement reportedly escalated with the arrival of law enforcement in riot gear.

The San Francisco protest erupted after President Donald Trump deployed the National Guard to Los Angeles — bypassing the state’s governor for the first time since 1965 — in a move that escalated tensions after an explosion of high-profile ICE activity in California last week.

Los Angeles law enforcement arrested 42 people Sunday, NBC Los Angeles reported.

On Sunday in San Francisco, hundreds began gathering in solidarity around 6 p.m. outside ICE headquarters at 630 Sansome St. before entering into a 40-minute standoff with police, Mission Local reported. Officials declared an unlawful assembly at 7:33 p.m., and about 10 minutes later, violence began with some crowd members who brought metal barricades, according to the outlet.

Some in the crowd committed assault, felony vandalism and property damage, according to police. Two officers were injured, and one was transported to the hospital. A small group of protesters went on to the 200 block of Montgomery Street and refused to leave, prompting arrests, San Francisco police said. Police initially reported on Sunday that about 60 people were arrested, but shared Monday morning that 148 adults and 6 minors were ultimately arrested. Police said they recovered a firearm from the scene.

They need to riot in the fancy neighborhoods. Otherwise it is all show. Go up to the Hollywood Hills, Beacon Hill. Nasty Pelosi’s neighborhood.

Or... Are they perhaps collaborating with democrat party leadership?

"They need to riot in the fancy neighborhoods. Otherwise it is all show."

Agreed, but what they should really do is bring their insanity to the middle class suburbs and learn from our reactions. The elites in their mansions won't do more than increase their private security. If security is overrun, they will have no idea what to do, other than panic while they scramble to unlock their safe to grab some unloaded pistol.

You'd be surprise how many suburbanites have experience, training, and weapons to take down the thugs with their nines facing sideways. I've talked to my neighbors. We would stop them at the beginning of our cul-de-sac, plus perimeters behind out homes.

I absolutely don't want the above to occur, but it may take that kind of confrontation to settle this. I can borrow a gun and would walk point at my old age.
