Do you think this about illegals? This is about opposing the guy, President Trump, who is the only one opposing the communist takeover of America in any meaningful way. The republican party will go along with it and has gone along with it. The illegals are just a means to that end. They are used for illegal votes.
There is a long list of irreconcilable differences that are dividing the country.

My point is that those of us around here (FR) are more in tuned with events around the country. The average person you see at work, at the store, or at the gas station is not paying such close attention.
“Moving the needle” for those people takes a massive amount of effort. Neither side is generating that much power.
Think about the impact of 9/11. That was the last time that kind of power was flexed. And even then, it did not last long.
When you start to see talk of an effective “general strike” we could be looking at civil unrest. We are a long, long way away from that.
The other side would lose badly.
Trump better take off the gloves for once and turn the Marines loose on these violent foreign invaders.
The Dems NEVER HESITATE. If this ENEMY ARMY and the DOMESTIC ENEMIES aiding and abetting it are not eliminated NOW while there is opportunity, the next Dem Pres will take his bloody revenge out on US!!
One of the problems I see with squelching the riots via real bullets is that Pantifa and associates will resist with the help of thousands of ChiCom regulars who came across the border in the last few years thanks to the Jo BiDung reign of error.

Certainly a civil war is what the left wants as after the country is destroyed they can take over and create a single party Marxist government. However, these riots and the Democrats blanket support of the illegals even those who are vicious criminals isn’t playing well in the heartland. Things in the middle of the country are showing signs of recovery from the nightmare of the Biden Administration and few people would support defending the illegals from just deportation. The riots are seen as what they are, an organized insurrection against the Trump Administration. A civil war would be short and result in crushing the left. The only hope for the left is bringing in foreign fighters and mercenaries, but that would only delay the inevitable defeat.

The US Civil War got its start in Kansas. Remote, isolated area from the majority of the population at the time. Private citizens attacking other private citizens in what would eventually end up with Kansas having 2 capitals and governments for a while.
Outside of the federal government recognizing 1 of those governments as legitimate, most of the population was blind to what was coming in a few years.
People were so blind that at the 1st Battle of Bull Run, people gathered on hillsides to witness the military battle as a form of entertainment. They didn’t know that that battle was just the result of an anger that had been growing for years.
Right now we have one side in open combat with ANYBODY politically opposite.
We are NOT in a Civil War... yet. We are on the edge of becoming Bloody Kansas.
Once Newsom took the side of the rioters against FEDERAL OFFICERS and federal facilities, then it became in (real) INSURRECTION.
The Next Question: Does it become a Civil War, and if so, which side will Mexico take - as that will have a HUGE IMPACT on how the war proceeds.
