Elon Musk says the US should ‘get rid of all’ government subsidies

Elon Musk said Monday at the Wall Street Journal’s CEO summit that he doesn’t think the United States needs the Biden administration’s infrastructure bill — or any government subsidies, for that matter. “Just delete them all,” he said.

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO said during the interview that he’s concerned about the federal deficit. “We’ve spent so much money.. the federal budget deficit is insane,” he said.

“I would say... can the whole bill. Don’t pass it, that’s my recommendation,” Musk said.

Musk pointed out that Tesla has been selling its electric cars for more than a year in the US without the $7,500 federal tax credit, without taking a demand hit. Most other automakers, save for General Motors, are still eligible for the credit.

I don’t think we know yet what the finished product will be. I am sure that in that 1100 pages or whatever it will be there will be garbage we will not be very happy about.

Lying about what?

Elon is subsidized on EVs. His cars get a up to 7500 tax credit. He gets credit a for building them that he can sell other manufacturers as emissions credits.

All EV mandates and credits along with MPG requirements need to be repealed. If they were Tesla becomes the least valuable car company.

It’s actually kind of funny how similar Elon Musk is to Yevgeny Prigozhin in this instance:

- Starts off as a simple business man with several startup ideas.

- Eventually expands into powerful industries normally handled by governments.

- Gains favor with the president and becomes an influential power broker.

- Still somehow crashes out and burns all of his bridges.

TESLA CARS DO NOT GET A $7500 CREDIT FOR THE BUYERS.

THEY ONLY GET $5000. BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT UNION.

ONLY THE UNION BRANDS GET THE $7500.
