Who could blame them for wanting to let off a little steam after that grueling advanced placement Calculus exam?
Three guesses and the first two don’t count.
In 1977 when I was a high school senior (yes I’m OLD) the “in” crowd planned a senior skip day at a local beach. their security was lax and the work leaked out.
School administration, truant officers (we still had them) and the sheriff’s dept. showed up.
All of the “in” crowd got 2 weeks suspension, and probably chastisement from their parents.
Not being part of that crowd, I didn’t go.
I can hear Archie Bunker now...
AW JEEZ, its them again aint it?
> Don’t think I’ve ever been in a horde before. <
Me neither. But in my younger years I did participate in a throng and two swarms.
Its a brawl ya’ll! Chucky Cheese style.
Looked ‘dark’...
Just as I figured, black horde.

I graduated the same year. We skipped and went to the beach, but it was really not a big deal. We told our parents. Of course, when you have solid C+ average like I did, you’re allowed certain liberties.
It is as if their DNA precludes communication and peaceful conflict resolution.
Absolutely no impulse control. The slightest aggravation immediately escalates to physical violence. What a abhorent culture. I am so grateful to the Lord that I was not born and raised in such a rotten subculture of violence.
Some of LI is nice.
But there are lots and lots of real Get-Toes.
The “Danch” comes to might.
Thug fatigue here.I’m not looking
"She's quite a peach, the girl from Jones Beach!"
I'm sure the clientele is a lot different today than it was in 1949, though.
This crowd is full of outliers as they’re actually students in their senior year. They haven’t dropped out, failed out, or ended up in prison.
My senior skip day was a sunny, relaxing day at Jax beach walking around with my girlfriends and sipping on a cherry slushee laced with rum.
In 1969 my boyfriend and I came upon a very large crowd in a Seattle park...seemed to be a party or concert starting...we suddenly realized we were the wrong color, and slowly returned to our car. We probably would have been fine, but figured since we were not invited we should leave. Different times.
I wonder if the students were in the nudity-allowed section of Jones Beach.

But why did the Lord create such a rotten subculture?
This is why Robert Moses wisely made the overpasses to Jones Beach too low for city buses, and therefore inner city Blacks to use. Unfortunately the undesirables are now a large percentage of Long Island’s population as well
