Interesting! I have long standing UC, and I am currently receiving Entyvio infusions every 8 weeks. Going in for another colonoscopy tomorrow, in fact- I’m in the middle of drinking the prep right now (YUCK-31 years and the prep doesn’t get any better).
I’m going to look into strawberry tree extract or the fruit.
Thanks for this!

Depending on what state you live in they may have shipping restrictions. Some states will not allow certain plants. It bugs me because where I am does this to all the GOOD STUFF... lol

I have one coming up in a couple of weeks.
This time I get knocked out and am grateful.
The last time was about 3 years ago and I was awake. I was recovering from a ruptured colon and suffering the osetoemy thing at the time.
A chemist could make good money if one could come up with a tolerable tasting prep.

my kid has Crohns. I wonder if this would be a good treatment supplement for him.
He’s been in remission for years but it’s starting to flare up and he’ll be starting some treatment soon. I think it’s a monthly shot. Humera or something.

Amazon sells Strawberry tree plants and seeds. No supplements, though.

Chew well. Train to drink more water. No abrasives: nuts, hard seeds. No “hot” spices. No chili peppers, no pickles. Chew up a citrucel or metamucil caplet half and sip some water for each 1/2 cup of food eaten, during a meal.
Thereby making it easier for the gut to move food along the way.

Discuss it with his doctor. I wish him well. Crohn’s is a real challenge. I don’t know if you’re on Instagram, there is a lady there, the Chef With IBD- Crohn’s- who creates her own recipes for people with IBD. She also is on Substack. She has over 300 recipes on Instagram. You might want to check her out if you haven’t already.
All my best…

I’ll mention it to him. He lives on his own. My wife has been seeing a natural path for cancer treatment. We will suggest he meet with her too.

I get the “Twilight Drug” (as I’ve heard it referred to). It doesn’t put me to sleep, but I usually don’t remember anything afterwards. Good luck with your procedure!

I’m not that concerned about it.
Apart from a slightly high A1c, everything else numbers wise from my recent physical are well within acceptable limits.
I’ve cut the sugar way down. A couple of months ago I got hooked on sodas again.

I drink diet sodas, “no sugar” drinks. I’m not anticipating any problems, maybe a polyp or two, but you never know about these things.
