That is true where ever DEI is applied. Amazon completed a study on hiring the best employees and couldn’t use it because it “discriminated” against women. You can force DEI on all US firms so you are not at a competitive disadvantage.

However, US firms have to compete against the world. Any country that rejects DEI, like China, is going to have a competitive advantage over DEI countries in productivity, efficiency, flexibility, research, etc. This advantage will exist throughout all levels of the economy.
