Revenues are down, service is spotty, the employees still think they are working in the 70's and with all of the competition from UPS, Fedex etc. the growth days of the Postal Service are long over.

Most people in the USA no longer send written letters or Birthday Cards, it's mainly electronic communication.

I have never received a written letter from any of my grandkids {all are in their 20's} they email, tweet, twit and twat and once in a while actually call and talk on the phone.

I don't know if any of them has ever written an actual letter.

I know that none has ever hand written a letter because the chicken scratch that they call writing looks like the Greek Alphabet.

The Post Office is the VCR of communications.

The Post Office is the VCR of communications.

They live off the ad revenue for people who want to send paper to homes for marketing purposes.

A lady I met at a quilting retreat last month said she had to show her 18-year-old grandson how to address an envelope, including where to place the stamp, return address, and how to format the address.
