“LOL, is Putin going to ask for protection for his military aircraft? “

Personally, I think it’s more likely that Putin wants to find out whether Trump supports the attack. If there’s a vote, he’ll have his answer.

If i read correctly. There is no mention of the severity of the issue at hand.

Of course all we got in that report was a snippet...

I’d expect the formal meeting to be tomorrow. Assuming that Trump wants to abstain, it will be interesting as to whether (big-time Neocon) Waltz goes rouge against him. If so, I suspect there will quickly be a second vote...without Waltz. I also think the nature of the Security Council response will affect the Russian response, particularly in Western Europe.

“A coked out dancer just showed how weak Russian defenses are.”

He just wasted a lot of ordinance destroying weapons that weren’t ever going to be used against him. And today he will lose more land, and tomorrow, etc. This was a NATO operation, not a Ukrainian one.

Russia has never looked so weak, and Putin’s life hangs in the balance. We don’t need to help save it.

If Putin is smart, he'll negotiate now.

The longer the war goes on, Ukraine is going to manufacture more drones. And it appears that Germany is coming around so they'll use their industrial might to assist Ukraine.

Trump is willing to continue to support Ukraine as long as the EU are the ones funding the war.

Germany’s industrial might, what is left of it, is powered by Russian natural gas.

Germany is no longer getting natural gas from their pipeline with Russia.

So they're getting it from elsewhere. However, they may be still buying some Russian gas indirectly through their "Shadow Fleet".

“I think he or she will get a rest.”

Hopefully so. I was having some hope for he/she, based on very loyal support for Trump, that’s why I was hesitating to ping JR.

I agree, but I doubt the West will be very happy as to what comes next, given what they’ve been saying.

This was a NATO operation, not a Ukrainian one.

I'd believe that if some TU-160 Backfires/White Swans were taken out.

OR...backchannels comms could have said, any Tu-160 hit, you lose a city...a big one. Russia is serious about its nuclear triad. Everyone is playing with fire today.

I’ve had plenty of rests over the years especially early on!

You can learn a great deal.

I admit the sore spot for me at the moment are the foreign affairs threads (like this one) and the Israel/Gaza ones.

Those in particular get very heated, very quickly and on BOTH SIDES.

Proceed with caution...

“Goebbels school” civil discourse? Whenever Russian troll’s family jewels get squeezed, he/she/it squeals like a pig about civil discourse. Let’s have a civil discourse about Bucha and Mariupol theater… Run to MOD THIRD time.

Ukraine and Russia can kill each other. It’s time we stay out of the way and let them do it.
These stupid leaders Z and Puke man, and their stupid people that allow this to happen can learn once again that war doesn’t work.
Russians, Ukrainians Putin and Z are a bunch of idiots and they can all do the world a favor by destroying themselves. As long as these bastards don’t drag rational people and nations into it, that’s the best we can do at this point.
Trump has done as much as anyone can by shaming these war demons.

And who is directing Russian endless Wars of destruction? There would be absolutely no war in Europe and no attacks on Russia or Ukraine if it were not for Russia’s aggression.

Donald Trump has now come into office as probably the most Pro Putin president we’ve ever had.

We are four months into his administration and he has done nothing but try to bring an end to the war including putting enormous pressure on ukraine.

He has called out Putin for these crazy attacks on the Ukrainian capital.

I’m supposed to get all worried now about how naughty NATO is acting?
