I found the perfect FReeper Beer today!
AND, the perfect FReeper Hot Sauce to go on the BBQ with the Perfect FReeper Beer!
Aviation ping!
Any discussion about hot sauce always reminds me of a product I stocked at Safeway.
Mongolian Fire Oil
Never tried it, but always loved the name.
Nice. Have you tried Yellow Bird hot sauces? So darn good. Texas made.

I strongly suspect that beer was named after me. 😏
As long as it wasn’t Arrogant Bastard ale.
I bought a 12 pack of Garage Beer. It claims to be beer-flavored beer.
Try Tabanero Hot Sauce available at Walmart. (Type 701650135 into the Walmart search bar.) You’ll throw rocks at everything else after you’ve tried it!
When I saw it on the shelf this morning, LOTS of FReeper friends came to mind!
OMG, that is wonderful!! Love it!
This is a small production hot sauce that can be quite hot. The site is missing the “Ow” level, which uses Carolina Reapers.
If you knew me, when you saw that beer I guarantee you would’ve said “THAT’S TIM!” LOL!
Henhouse Brewing is in Petaluma, CA. I’ll be driving through there next Saturday on the say to Santa Rosa, but I’ll be early and they won’t be open.
But I just saw they have a brewery and tasting room in Santa Rosa! I’ll pick up some there.
Last year I grew the best Carolina Reapers that I made into hot sauce. I call it FAFO Sauce. Reapers have twice the heat of the Ghost Pepper.
Too bad. They have some good beers. I usually stop by their Santa Rosa store every year when I make my pilgrimage for Pliny the Younger. Lots of great beer in the Russian River area.
The “Reptilian” isn’t on their web site. Must be retired.
I’ll be with my daughter and her boyfriend on tour of the Geysers Geothermal Power Plant. I’ll stop into their tasting room after our tour.
Yes, lots of great beer in the Russian River area.
Great idea!
I make BBQ sauces (currently on the side). Not yet public. One more flavor to go and still working on the website.
I’d be happy to develop a unique recipe, submit it here and tweak it based upon feedback to a genuine FReeper original sauce. I already have an idea for the ‘label’ (at most a banner for the public recipe).
Freepmail me any suggestions for the sauce, if anyone is interested. Basically, my lineup covers practically all the popular regional types, but an original based upon any of those shouldn’t be that difficult. I have a dozen derivations that will likely never make it to the kitchen (>18 is enough).
A ping list and BBQ thread may be forthcoming, depending...
I make my own Jalapeño/Ghost hot sauce. It’s awesome.
