In a recent interview Angel Reese was asked who she thought was the best player in the WNBA right now. To paraphrase - “You mean who the media thinks, or who is? It’s me.”
She’s not even the best player on her team.
And I don’t think Catlin Clark is the best player in the WNBA right now, but she is the most important. She’s the one selling tickets, selling out stadiums, selling merch, selling commercial air time because of boosted viewership.
