Trump warns Putin he is 'playing with fire' in explosive new warning over Ukraine war

President Donald Trump delivered a fresh warning to Russian President Vladimir Putin after the Russians spent the past few days showering Ukraine with missile and drone strikes.

'What Vladimir Putin doesn't realize is that if it weren't for me, lots of really bad things would have already happened to Russia, and I mean REALLY BAD,' Trump posted to Truth Social Tuesday. 'He's playing with fire!'

Over the weekend Trump grew publicly frustrated with Putin, who he had spoken to on the phone for two hours the previous Monday, coming away from the conversation saying he thought it to be productive.

But there was no progress made in concluding the war - with Russia escalating its attacks on Ukraine thoughout the weekend, pummelling the country with drone strikes.

Ukrainian officials estimated around 900 drones were launched by Russia in attacks from Friday through Sunday nights, the Associated Press reported.

Trump said Sunday that he was 'absolutely' considering more sanctions on Russia in response.

Before this is all over Putin will wish that he took Trump’s peace deal. He got greedy and now there will be a price to pay. Russia will soon be begging for peace negotiations again but the window is closed.

I think Donald Trump should just wash his hands of this slaughter and order ALL Americans OUT OF UKRAINE. Russia did not attack the USA. Ukraine means NOTHING to me and most other Americans. It is a sewer of corruption masquerading as a country. Ukraine is NOT WORTH THE LOSS OF ONE AMERICAN LIFE. These are centuries-old hatreds. America is not going to settle this. Bring ALL AMERICANS HOME...NOW ! Let these people keep fighting for another thousand years. It is not OUR fight.

“Trump said Sunday that he was ‘absolutely’ considering more sanctions on Russia in response.”

The hundreds of thousands of dead Russians is a far greater punishment than any sanctions the US might apply that might backfire.

Trump needs to ask the Russians for their complete terms for a long-term deal. Ukraine, with State Department help, can then respond in a complete manner.

If every issue is out in the open, then each and every issue can be handled in the best way possible, which is often to accept the status quo.

Ukraine isn’t going to sign away Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk or even one square meter.

Russia is going to want its money back, but it will only get it back gradually over a period of at least ten years.

Since Russia doesn’t want NATO in Ukraine, Ukraine must have armed forces with unlimited personnel and defensive weapons.

This can’t all be hammered out in 24 hours, but 24 days is enough time.

“He got greedy and now there will be a price to pay.”

What price is that?

Only direct US intervention can stop Russia in this pursuit.

And that will never happen.

“Russia will soon be begging for peace negotiations”

Why?

Biden and the EU sent Zelensky a whole bunch of Wunderwaffen that did not alter the course of the war.

There are other forms of escalation besides large numbers of troops on the ground and jets in the air. Trump will not fight this war in any conventional way.

If I had to guess, I think we are going to see massive strikes inside Russia, small footprint very fast moving tactical teams wrecking havoc on Russian troop positions, our best weapons and tactics will be brought to bare. Zelensky and Ukrainian oligarchs involvement in the war will be zero.

Trump tried for peace. He did the right thing but now America’s credibility is on the line and he can’t allow that.

You’re suggesting those will be US troops?

That’s funny right there, I don’t care who you are lol

Russia cannot be allowed to defy America. It will only invite more of same from enemies all around the world. In fact, it could totally destabilize the world and start more wars and possibly WWIII. It’s just the way things are. Trump cannot allow it.

Putin completely misinterpreted Trump’s peace overtures as weakness. The reality is that Trump cannot allow Russia to defy America because it will only lead to more wars and greater instability around the world.

If Putin doesn’t come to his senses and President Trump gets involved in the war, you keep an eye on that map.

Trump shouldn’t be fighting this war at all. It’s not our war.

Why is Ukraine so special to so many on this site? All they have done is interfere with our elections (Zelensky campaigned for Kamala) and lowered the standards of living for many Americans, due to the billions of dollars given to Ukraine. I wouldn’t be surprised if we are still paying the pensions of the ungrateful Ukrainians.

The majority of the American people don’t care about the war. It is none of our business.

“Trump shouldn’t be fighting this war at all. It’s not our war.”

I agree.

“Why is Ukraine so special to so many on this site? “

It’s not. I hate Ukraine and I despise Zelensky.

“The majority of the American people don’t care about the war. It is none of our business”

Unfortunately, unless Putin comes to his senses, America will be forced to defeat him if we wish to maintain any deterrent capability around the world.
