Well it is rocket science. We all appreciate Musk's Buck Rogers approach to reaching outer space. Yet the KISS principle comes to mind. Overly complex systems have myriad ways to fail.

Does not apply to StarShip as it is as simple as it gets to do the jobs its is designed to eventually do.

Elon employs KISS all the time. You’ve probably heard him say “the worst thing an engineer can do is perfect a part that shouldn’t exist” and “the best part is no part”. Comparing raptor 1 to raptor 3 shows KISS is integral to their engineering philosophy.

The simplification from Raptor 1 to Raptor 2 was remarkable, and Raptor 3 is so simplified by contrast that it doesn't look like it's finished. :^)
