And don’t double-space after periods between sentences. I’ve heard that that’s ones of the methods they use to identify older applicants. IDK if it’s true.
Are you looking in one particular area, or open to relocating?
I’m fortunate to have a pretty decent job, but I see the writing on the wall. I’m 57 and don’t think I’ll make it to 62 without a few rounds of layoffs.
I’m currently remote and plan to stay that way as I’m in the woods of WV. I won’t work for any company that won’t accommodate that because I’m at least twice, if not 3x as productive that way, having spent 30 years in-house prior - I’ve seen the on-site dysfunction up close. Any company mired in the past, at least for IT staff, isn’t worth the effort to apply to, IMHO.
That said, I’ve applied to on-site jobs just to get interview experience and still don’t get even the courtesy of a rejection.
