President Donald Trump lashed out at his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin for continuing to attack Ukraine while talks are ongoing between the two countries to find an end to the conflict.
Speaking to reporters on the tarmac at Morristown, New Jersey before he boarded Air Force One and returned to Washington, D.C., Trump spoke about a range of topics as he fielded questions ranging from tariffs to manufacturing goals to Russia and Ukraine peace talks.
"I'm not happy with what Putin is doing," Trump said. "He's killing a lot of people, and I don't know what the hell happened to Putin. I've known him a long time. Always gotten along with him, but he's sending rockets into cities and killing people, and I don't like it at all."
"We're in the middle of talking, and he's shooting rockets into Kiev and other cities. I don't like it at all," he said, adding, "I don't like what Putin is doing, not even a little bit. He's killing people. Something happened to this guy, and I don't like it."
When asked if he had any comment on news that Putin was almost caught in the middle of a drone attack from Ukraine, Trump suggested "maybe that would be a reason" for Putin's supposed change of character, but stressed "I don't know. I have not heard that."
Later, when asked a follow-up about talks with Putin, Trump said he would "absolutely" consider applying tariffs against Russia to force progress in peace talks, again saying, "He's killing a lot of people, I don't know what's wrong with him. What the hell happened to him, right? He's killing a lot of people, I'm not happy with that."

Well Zellenky only tried to assassinate President Putin by attacking Putin's presidential helicopter.
Naturally Putin was going to hit back.
“The assassination attempt did not get into western media.”
Yup,
Western media have an agenda and they never stop lying.
Which is the complete subjugation of Ukraine. That has always been the goal. The excuse of being "provoked" by NATO expansion into Ukraine, which is something that did not happen, is just that: an excuse.
Because that’s what Trump does. The US has supported Ukraine against Russia in this war since the beginning and Trump has continued that support. But Trump rightfully wants the bloodshed to end for the good of the Ukrainian and Russian people. So what did Trump do. He first puts the screws to Ukraine to accept the loss of territory to Russia thus giving Putin a reason to stop while he was ahead. Putin has strung along Trump pretending to want peace. But Trump now realizes that Putin is not serious about peace. Trump has many economic and military options to deploy against Russia. Trump’s military options will give Ukraine the upper hand and at the same time many of these options are stealthy giving Trump plausible deniability. Last week, Putin tests an ICBM. What does Trump do in response? Trump tests a new ICBM and discloses that we have a new nuclear weapon. Further I suspect Trump has at his disposal weapons that can target Putin personally, but are completely undetectable until they arrive on target. Can Putin take that risk?
‘What the Hell Happened to Him?’
Nothing happened to him Mr. President. He has always been that way, i.e., cruel, totalitarian, and unfortunately intelligent.
Btw, if you didn’t “get it”, my post #49 was pure sarcasm.
The screen shots are all zeeper posts, trashing President Trump.
Mr President, you’re being played. This is right out of the Vietnam playbook when peace negotiations were going on. Putin has no intention of making peace.
Yeah?
Like when?
“I'm sure this isn't the first attempt on Putin.”
So Zellensky has to have a go too?
Its like saying that guy tried to assassinate Trump in Butler so you are going to have a go too.
Bottom line is, Putin won his elections with over 80% of the vote and has approval ratings of over 80%.
Meanwhile Zellensky canceled Ukraine elections, threw his political opponents in jail and continues to rule as a dictator.
