Indy always has great pre-race traditions and I’ve watched them all since 1974- or at least all of what they showed on TV except the time i was there in 2015- but today was hands down the best ever!!!

1) Choppers on the parade lap!

2)Possibly the most beautiful, elegant and patriotic singing of our Anthem i have ever witnessed at any major event (not often at a major even does the person singing the National Anthem do so with their hand over their heart

3) a great invocation

4) an incredible version of God Bless America!!! Florence Henderson sang the song for years yet you only heard it on the radio broadcast- TV never showed it. The guy who sang today, someone with a latino name, was incredible. He was wearing a shirt with red and white stripes...at the end of the Anthem he opened up the right side of his jacket....i did not initially see what it was and was afraid it was some protest message....during the commercial i replayed it back- the inside of his jacket was a blue background with stars!!! (i found the video!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIx3dgQDoPk)
