That's because computer models are not based on reality. These 'findings' are yet another nail in the coffin of Climate Change© ideology. It clearly establishes computer modeling of long-term climate is flawed.
Re-enter it as The Gulf of America and see if that gives a different outcome.
Models are comprised of variables selected by the modeler. Then each variable is assigned a value by the modeler.

With that, the hurricane made a 90 degree turn, headed for my house where it lifted the corner of the garage and destroyed a house at the end of the street, four houses away.
Similar thing happened when I was vacationing on the coast of Florida.
