Putin thinks 1 or 2 years he can take all of Ukraine.
Why would they meet?
If they would meet, each would have to have something on which they could save face and claim victory.
For Trump that is a peace agreement.
For Putin it is a victory which would have to include the Ukraine would not longer be under the Zelensky regime.
Don’t see either happening.
The war goes on.
The only question to be decided is, when does Uncle Sam stop writing the checks.
That’s up to Trump and him alone.
Even if he could, then what. This is not going to end with a Russian victory parade in the middle of Kyiv. That would only be the beginning of a prolonged insurgency. The Ukrainians have tasted independence and will not submit lightly to Russian domination again.
Laughable, read Vlads speech on day one, I did. He has not wavered or changed. Rock solid.
Very, very, simple. No NATO,. The five ethnic Russian provinces stay with Russia….the last one regarding Ukraine’s Neo Nazi problem can be worked out by Rada decree.
Best to carve up Ukraine giving back to Poland, Hungary and Romania there lost land….that would be a “ lasting” Peace.
“The only question to be decided is, when does Uncle Sam stop writing the checks.

Not really, last time he tried that they impeached him. And he repub GOPe Congress has forced a lot of the aid to Ukraine and sanctions on Russia.
He can make a difference, but the war party in DC has cemented in a lot of this.
Except that the only ethnic Russian province is Crimea. The others have ethnic Ukrainian majorities. You also fail to mentions that Putin is not just demanding to keep what he already has but that Ukraine hand over the major cities of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, the latter of which would give Russia the entire lowers stretch of the Dnipro River, and thus blocking Ukraine's access to the Black Sea.
Additionally, Putin is demanding that Ukraine reduce its army to a token force unable to defend the country, be barred form any alliance for defense in case of further Russian attacks, require the elevation of Russian language, culture and history as equal to Ukrainian and as an integral part of the Ukrainian identity, and replace the democratically elected government with one imposed by Moscow.
As for the "Neo Nazi problem," let's have some honesty here. There are no neo-Nazis in the Ukrainian government. Rather, this is a term that Putin uses for anyone who would oppose Russian domination.
These terms would reduce Ukraine to a vassal state of Russia. This has never been just a matter of no NATO and Ukraine handing over some border provinces, and you know it.
