I miss 1996 - when we had $500 and $1000 bills

Then, around 2000 I had come into some money and tried to deposit like $2700-$2900 cash into bank accounts I’d had for at least 16 years - the bank acted liked such idiots - dragging it out, I demanded my cash back

I had clients from where I was a Windows software developer in my SUV - we had just finished lunch - thought I’d hit the bank real quick - it was a larger regional bank - never seen $2900 cash before? Ridiculous. In those days I had $1500-$5000 to $6500 cash in my pocket a few times (1996 that is LOL)
