I'm with you my friend. My GFR = 17 but that's much better than being on dialysis, which I was for three years!

While ibuprofen (Advil) is not a supplement, many treat it that way. It will kill your kidneys. Untreated high blood pressure will do it also.

I don't disagree that some supplements can cause kidney damage (other damage, too), it may weaken your kidneys to the point that other problems push your kidneys over the edge. Once over that edge, they likely do not recover -- ever. Mine did recover, though, through dramatic lifestyle changes.

17, uggh- that’s low- but yeah, better than dialysis for sure- I keep dipping to stage 4 and can’t get scans with contrast as a result- but they tell me to drink lots of water before (and after) the test- to bring it up to stage 3- seems to have worked- nothin liek travelling 120 miles to be told they can’t do the cuz of GFR
