Mark Levin Fumes Over Trump’s Chummy Tour of the Arab World, Citing 9/11: ‘These Are Terrorists’

Fox News host Mark Levin is NOT pleased with President Donald Trump’s current diplomatic tour of Saudi Arabia and Qatar, which, given his history of reflexive pro-Trump rhetoric, is notable.

Trump spoke to the Saudi Royal family and other very important global business leaders during a remarkably convivial economic investment confab on Tuesday that ended on the same note as most of his political rallies: with The Village People blaring the gay disco anthem YMCA. Trump later flew to Doha, Qatar, for more meetings aimed at securing Middle Eastern investment in the American economy, despite serious concerns about human rights abuses on the part of the would-be investors.

But, without mentioning President Trump by name, Levin was remarkably critical of the commander-in-chief, taking to social media to blast Saudi Arabia for playing a “significant role on the 9/11 slaughter of our people.” He also condemned Qatar for having “protected the leader of the 9/11 attack from the FBI, before he was able to launch his war on America that killed our people.”

Trump (and me) simply does not want perpetual war.

The Arabs are better friends than the Vatican.

At least we got a plane from them.

The Vatican wants us to have open borders and then charge us for providing social services to them.

The British burned public buildings in Washington in 1814 in retaliation for Americans burning buildings in York, Ontario, earlier. The war ended in a draw--Britain was not defeated and as far as I know never apologized for burning Washington.

There's an old story of a couple of British tourists being shown around Washington by an American, who points out, "You know, the British burned Washington in 1814." The British tourists were shocked: "We know we burned Joan of Arc but we thought Washington died of natural causes."

Yes America first. That is why I believe if war happens he would want and try to end it as quickly as possible in victory. Of dragging it out for special interests. I think the rest of the world knows that too

Maybe.

For Trump to get the trillion in investment in the USA —he is enabling Saudi Arabia to get their hands on the crown jewel of the new industrial revolution. The AI factory.

The saudis view this as being the same as the initial agreements between the US and the Saudis to drill for oil back in the 1930’s.

imho, Trump’s remarks about the Middle East exporting AI rather than terror will privately vindicate bin Laden to the Saudis.

That said the 25 year mideast war that bin laden started is slowly winding down. imho sunnis everywhere will take note.

“For Trump to get the trillion in investment in the USA —he is enabling Saudi Arabia to get their hands on the crown jewel of the new industrial revolution. The AI factory.”

And you have no clue regarding the fine print.

It is to build a factory and it is not trillions of dollars.

it is better for them to do it here than in China. They are going up across the country. Zuckerberg is building a huge one in Louisiana. Do you trust him? And what Musk says about the other big AI guru — the Saudis’ can’t even approach.

That is not handing them the store. But other presidents since Clinton certainly have been handing them the store at every opportunity. Clinton handed them ICBM missile tech.

“Trump’s remarks about the Middle East exporting AI rather than terror will privately vindicate bin Laden to the Saudis.”

Can you explain that, since investment in the United States, economically, is the precise opposite of what bin Laden did? Also, the Arabs will be reluctant to countenance terrorist attacks on the United States with so much wealth invested here, which is probably uppermost on Trump’s mind as he prepares to deal with Iran.

No the Saudi “government” did not.

And no, the lessons of WW II are clear. The Germans never apologized for NON-MILITARY NON-GENEVA CONVENTION horrors. Nor did Japan.

If you can find it, please produce it. I’m a historian and I cannot ever recall seeing any such apology from either Germany or Japan.

They did apologize to the Jews.

Brits were useless spoogechickens. With three times the men couldn’t take a position held mostly by militia in New Orleans. Were out-hustled on Lake Champlain and on Lake Erie by American captains who had faster reloads.

Face it, the Brits had a hissy fit.

Mark Levin can rant all he wants, but I’m fine with The Peace President continuing to get Peace Agreements done around the world (while also getting more business deals done for American manufacturing). It’s not like he’s doing a naive Chamberlain-like “Peace in our time” declaration, and having our military stand down while the terrorists run amok.

I assumed it was common practice to execute soldiers who attempt to surrender, especially in long, drawn out wars. That everyone did it, even if not "legal." But I didn't have a link.

Then today I stumbled upon the "Baralong incident." Baralong Incidents.

Baralong sank U-27, which had been preparing to sink a nearby merchant ship, the Nicosian. About a dozen of the crewmen managed to escape the sinking submarine, and Lieutenant Godfrey Herbert, commanding officer of Baralong, ordered the surviving sailors to be summarily executed after they boarded the Nicosian.

All the survivors of U-27's sinking, including several who had reached the Nicosian, were shot by Baralong's crew.
