MANCHESTER, N.H. —
A funeral service was held Monday in Manchester for a baby girl whose body was found in a Manchester pond.
The community came together at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home to say their goodbyes to a girl they never knew.
People became emotional as they brought cards and flowers to place in front of the casket.
Mayor Jay Ruais said it was personally important for him to be at the service.
"As a new dad, you know, these are the kinds of situations that are just unconscionable," Ruais said. "Fr me, I think it's terribly important that we show up – the police chief, fire chief, myself – and be there for the community."
Last week, Manchester police released an artist's rendering of the baby who they named Grace, along with her obituary. The infant's body was found March 27 in the water at Pine Island Park in Manchester by a kayaker.
Police are still trying to figure out how the baby died, and they haven't been able to find her mother. Investigators believe that somebody placed the baby in the pond sometime between March 25 and 27.
Police have increased the reward for information leading to a breakthrough in the case to $5,000. The investigation has come up with few leads, and Manchester Police Chief Peter Marr said that it may take time to find out what happened.
"We are absolutely still working it. You know, unfortunately, this isn't like the TV shows where, you know, you get results in 15 minutes. A lot of times, it takes months," Marr said.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
That's a big clue to what the police are looking for.
If all else fails, genetic genealogy will help determine who the parents are.
literally an angel now.😔LORD, please pursue both her parents and bring them to justice. And repentance.
Manchester resident Connie Cypher told WMUR-TV that she lost her baby son many years ago, and it was incredibly important to her to honor Grace.
”I had no closure. So for me, come and see, baby Grace, it's like a closure for me," Cypher said. "That's why I had to come here saying goodbye to Grace and saying more or less goodbye to my baby."

This person who did this will rot in the eternal fires of Hell!
Does it say anywhere how old they think the infant might have been? I read the article twice, read the obituary, and watched the video but I didn’t see any estimates of her age.
When you don’t respect them in the womb, it makes it so much easier to kill them after they are born also...
