Quote “ I’m all for Shoeless Joe Jackson being allowed to enter MLB Hall of Fame, but not Pete Rose.”

Whoa. Can’t see why one would be fine and the other not. Shoeless Joe took money and threw his performance in a game he actually played in. I know, I know, many say he took only a little money and didn’t alter his performance. But evidence on both sides exists.

Rose bet money on baseball games as a manager and on the teams he managed.

Rose always maintained he bet on his team to win. Still, no excuse.

Having said all that, they both did the crime and more than did the time. It’s time to put both in the Hall.

I believe you’re wrong. Shoeless Joe never took a dime of money, hit over .300 for the series, but was suspended for life because he knew about his teammates plot to throw the 1919 World Series and never said anything about it.
