Treacherous Republicans like Brian Kemp and Chris Sununu have decided to put their own personal whims ahead of saving the country and not run in 2026. The seat he has his rear end planted in is now more important than ever. He has so alienated conservative voters that it’s not clear that they will show up in the general. He’s not a charismatic man. He reminds everybody of that guy who wants to be president of your HOA.

I am GLAD Sunnunu and Kemp aren’t running. They are exactly the kind of RINOs we do not need and need to get rid of once they are in office. Tillis is exactly that kind of RINO. I’m committed to doing all I can to get rid of him - and I voted for him last time.
He’s a treacherous RINO snake.
By the way, I left a phone message with Tillis last week telling him I would do everything in my power now to see him driven from public office.

Lara Trump will lose the Senate race if she creates a sham residency in NC, particularly if she is running against popular Governor Roy Cooper who won two terms as governor during elections where Donald Trump was running for POTUS (2016 and 2020). Both times Cooper received more votes than Donald Trump.
In addition in recent years North Carolina citizens have already had a bad experience with a GOP carpetbagger running for a US Senate seat in the state. In 2002 Elizabeth Dole, wife of former Senator and presidential candidate Bob Dole, ran for the seat occupied by retiring Senator Jessie Helms, a true conservative. While Dole was born in NC, she lived most of her life out of state and shifted her residency from her home at the Watergate in DC to her mother’s house in Salisbury so she would be eligible to run for the NC seat. She won reelection but unlike her predecessor the outspoken conservative Jessie Helms, she played the comfortable insider Washington DC role and rarely appeared in the state. In her 2008 bid for reelection she lost by a substantial margin to the relatively unknown Democrat state senator Kay Hagan, by a margin of 44% to 53%. North Carolina voters threw out the carpetbagger Republican who really did not represent the people of the state.
If Lara Trump follows the same sham residency route, and faces former governor Roy Cooper in the Senate race, she will likely lose in a landslide. Cooper and the Democrats will slam her as a wealthy opportunist carpetbagger trying to buy a Senate seat. You can be assured Elizabeth Dole will be cited in the campaign. Memories of Dole are long and unpleasant with many voters.
Donald Trump captured 50.8% of the vote in NC during the presidential election of 2024. It was a very slim majority, not a landslide. Don’t assume Donald Trump is overwhelmingly popular in the state and the name alone will carry Lara into the Senate.
If Lara Trump was a serious about representing the people of NC in the US Senate she and husband Eric would have moved their residence to the state, conducted business from the state, and educated their children in the state years ago. North Carolina does not someone who actually lives in New York and Florida representing the people of NC in the US Senate.
If the GOP cannot field a long time resident of the state as its candidate, who can make a compelling case for election to Tillis’s seat, the party doesn’t deserve to hold onto the seat.
Can a conservative NC native Republican win in North Carolina? Look at the 2022 Senate race to replace retiring GOP Senator Richard Burr. Ted Budd, a businessman and 3 term conservative congressman won 58% of the vote in the GOP primary and defeated the Democrat candidate in the fall election.

Kemp and Sunnunnu are the last people we want in office.
Let’s not get our hopes up. Paxton could win, but he could also lose. The TX RINOs are extremely effective in stopping conservative legislation. Many think that these RINOs, many of whom are very popular in their districts, are really Democrats running with an “R” label.
Kay Hagan is or was a niece of the FL politician Lawton Chiles.
Lara should let the very popular and competent Roy Cooper run and stay at home and raise her young children.

Is Roy Cooper really that popular? He’s the one who refused to prosecute the prostitute who lied and said she was raped by the Duke lacrosse team. She later went on to kill her boyfriend. Cooper, as AG, refused to prosecute her.
TILLIS’ REAL ESTATE ACTIONS NEED A DEEP AUDIT

We are in NC. My oldest teenage son is politically observant. I said something recently about Tillis, and he asked, “Who is that?” I told him his answer says everything he needed to know about Tillis.
I wrote Tillis’ office in 2020 that if he refused to fight the fraudulent election he would never have my vote again. He did nothing but issue meley mouth statements about respecting “the process,” such as it was. He needs primaried out.
