For about 25 years - from when I worked at McDonalds (early 70s) - the price of a Big Mac was almost exactly equal to the price of a gallon of gasoline.
I guess that's still true, in California anyway.
Apropos to nothing, in 2008 I was eating a биг Мак at the Mickey D’s in Yalta, then Ukraine. Across the large town square was an anti-NATO protest which consisted of three old coots playing Soviet martial music very loudly on a boombox. I thought the whole thing was surreal.
I preferred the добл цишбугр myself. Shame Putin closed it all down.
Cool stuff. Years ago an economic indicator of the economy here in the US was the square feet of wrapping paper sold at Christmas...

It’s a little late. I stopped eating Big Macs years ago. They are over 10 bucks. Once they get high enough that nobody eats them they lose all value as an economic indicator.
