I can hardly believe all the many stupid things people will do. Don’t people have any sense at all?

It’s the invincibility effect- folks don’t understand that yes, tragic things can happen to them. They feel invincible. Especially as teens and up into 30’s - then after so many narrow escapes, they come to realize that they have tempted fate enough. Well, most folks come to realize it. Then there are the evil knievils of the world who keep right on tempting fate. But they apparently don’t particularly care if they live or not, as long as their life is full throttle while they are alive.
Took me a great many years and many scars later to start taking life seriously. 🙃
No. If the voters had any sense, they would not elect Democrats.
