Thank you. I will take your suggestion about past cultures and research cannabis use effects on societal prowess. I would also admit that it is difficult to tease out the effect of cannabis only, cannabis with alcohol, and alcohol only on different people and their society. Don’t even put opiates or mental health in the mix.
I do know from experiences with friends who used cannabis for a long time that it did “blunt” their motivations and aspirations...I also have a vet whose office is next store to a cannabis dispensary....having spent hours waiting for the vet to see my cats, I watched most of the cannabis customers “shuffle” in , wearing sloppy attire, with depressed faces, and showing up in poorly kept vehicles. That, and my interactions with friends who used cannabis, has influenced my impression of the amotivational effects of the plant on them and society in general.
Freegards.
Further evidence of the negatives of Cannabis is that the white world never adopted it as an intoxicant although they knew about its use by others and knew that for thousands of years and did use it for hemp.
As far as friends and current usage by whites, it is a little like measuring the effect of being atheist on a population by looking at a rare American atheist who was raised in a Christian culture and the Western world, the concern about Cannabis use is where it will lead Western countries to over a period of time.
What will a 100 years of common and widespread daily Cannabis use do to America, will we be a cleaner, better disciplined, more vigorous, aggressive, competitive people on the world stage.
