Pretty sick - a while back, there was a story abut an Aussie woman who misused Ozempic as a weight loss drug, died from it.
Then they discovered they can make a lot of money by “repurposing” a diabetes drug for weight loss - and have insurance cover much of the expenses...
What I heard is that you need to go to a physician who specializes in using this drug for weight loss who will manage and monitor you while you are on it. Aside from the expense, I still don’t trust it.
Lazy way over the hard work way.
In 2024, Oprah Winfrey resigned from her position on the board of WeightWatchers after 10 years, admitting to using weight loss drugs.
Not surprising, with that fraud of a broad.
Weight Watchers is going to get slimmed down through the Bankruptcy Court.
They had a good run.
.....
Company with a good run of customers who didn’t..
Unsafe. My husband took it for almost a year for diabetes. Then it paralyzed his digestive system. Very dangerous stuff.
It’s a re-org. They’ll still be around. And probably with less stuff. Turning WW into a food and drug empire was a mistake.
Lolz
My grandmother really struggled with her weight. She attended Weight Watchers programs and hated it. They really push their pre made meals.
My girlfriend and I were at lunch last week. She always uses weight watchers and I go on Atkins to lose weight. All of her female colleagues are on One pic and they have lost a lot of weight but they look terrible and as soon as they stop they gain it back quickly.
