The government has been building secret SHTF survivable sites for over 70 years since the end of WW II and the beginning of the nuclear era.
Have they spent 21 trillion building the sites, that seems farfetched, they have spent hundreds of billions and probably in the low trillions, packing the sites with everything to survive for the “critical” and “important” to live for years, while the rest of us fight for survival or are already dead.
You could easily change the reason for the sites from Continuity of Government to we survive, and you don’t.
The lack of basic accounting process DOGE is uncovering is unreal. I am no accountant, but know enough to be dangerous, and what they’re seeing is mind-boggling. The AICPA audit wing should be commenting on all this, it is so basic and so egregious.
Spending $21 Trillion means you are paying that amount of money to people for goods and services. Which means either those people were ignorant of what they were working to help create, or they know and are keeping mum.
In some cases this is easy - a factory worker isn't going to know that the fire extinguishers he made went into the tunnels of some massive underground city. But presumably a big chunk of $21T would involve workers actually on-site building the whole thing, or to workers delivering massive amounts of goods, or to planners and architects and engineers who had to know the big picture in order to fulfill their functions. And the notion that millions upon millions of workers (as such a dollar figure requires) could be involved in something like this and keep the secret is absurd.
I'm sure there are bunkers and whatnot out there, but nothing even remotely on the scale of $21T.

The functions that the underground corridors employee only are the following:
-Movement of staff and supplies: to shops and restaurants.
– Waste management:
– Emergency and security services
-Employee rest and dining areas: in the tunnels there are dedicated spaces where employees can rest, eat or change clothes without leaving the bunker.

This is the greatest flaw in these ideas. That army of people will want their loved ones protected too.
