I went to a few sites where they try to explain the differences twixt passwords and passkeys...I'm still missing something.

Mmiscrosoft keeps wanting me to set a passkey as does amazon and a few others

It seems it's like turning on MS's bitlocker to encrypt my hard drive. I have to use a password or enter a bitlocker key to unencrypt the hard drive. You may be able to get at data, but it's encrypted and it's useless without the key.
