He got “who”, exactly? The atheists who’ve never been in a pew in their life? The leftists who always mock Catholicism and the Holy Trinity anyway?
I’ll admit that my wife is far better Catholic than I am, but I do attend mass regularly, i.e., I’m a practicing Catholic. Indeed, we’re about to head off for my Godchild’s first communion (my niece of my wife’s youngest sister) tomorrow.
I do think God has a sense of humor, but I think this is poor taste and wish PDJT wouldn’t have posted it. My wife grumbled a bit about the joke about being Pope - I thought it was amusing, she didn’t.
But this time - and I didn’t show the Truth post to her, but someone else sent it to her - I think she’s right. It was a mistake at best, in bad taste.
I suspect 80% of my congregation voted for Trump, probably more. The only people being trolled are the faithful Catholics who voted for him.
Thanks for the response Cap’n. Yes, I agree, Pres. Trump is often his own worst enemy with his off-the-cuff remarks and postings. But then that’s what most of his MAGA supporters like about him. You can argue ‘til you’re blue in the face that it isn’t terribly presidential to refer to a well-known female celeb as a “fat ugly pig,” but the MAGA crowd love it.
