I see the Ruskies listen to “American” fake news.
Ukraine needs a big partner to help develop their mineral resources. Otherwise, China will flood the market to drive down prices and eliminate Ukraine and all other competitors. How did China come to control most of the rare earth market when these minerals are located at numerous places around the world? Subsidizing their industries to capture the market is what China has done and will do in the future.
Nuthin’ wrong with Ukraine “paying for” US support; when Trump finally makes a deal with the Ruskies, Ukraine will profit going forward from its joint effort with the US on the minerals. Win-win, as they say.
The Russian concern for Ukraine feels a bit disingenuous at the moment.
