Yeah, both the Ukraine and Russia have been through the horrors of collectivization and the purges under Lenin and Stalin in the 1930s, the Nazi invasion of the 1940s, the post war rebuilding, the hardships of the Cold War, the complete economic collapse of the USSR and starvation at the end of the Cold War and now an insane war that is destroying all the progress of three decades of rebuilding just when Ukraine and Russia were finally coming back to some semblances normal life.
It would really be nice to see both sides catch a break for a change.
