Redundancy Dept. of Redundancy.
Scampi means ‘shrimp’ in Italian.

Precisely! You have sound like a big dummy if you order the Shrimp “Scampi!”

So who does/did the cooking thread?
I’ve been called a chef, but I never was. I do love to cook.

There actually have been two different people; the first one was a for REAL professional chef, but he died and that was the end of that. After a while, Jamestown 1630 started the the thread that most posters remember and NO, that poster shan't do it again.

Beginning to not like it. Shells to be discarded. High cooking temperature leaving oil splattered to be cleaned up. Other than that it’s pretty good. Tell me which spices to use other than pepper.
Peel shells, big pat of butter and a small splash of Olive Oil in the air fryer, and sprinkle Old Bay on them. 400 for 5-6 minutes, shake them up halfway through and maybe some more Old Bay.

I like my shrimp to glow in the dark. That way I don’t have to turn on the kitchen light at 3am...............

I’ve been nuked enough the last few years to prefer my seafood sans isotopes.
But I’m wondering, if this is in fact Fukushina related, what the heck have the Japanese been eating??
