“What happens when you decommission your coal and nuclear plants....”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With IWTs having a max installed capacity of over 32 GW and supplying about 1/4 of the energy, it’s a safe bet that the grid failure has something to do with wind. Getting them to admit it is another issue....
“What happens when you decommission your coal and nuclear plants....”
100% true. And don't forget the added power drain of tons of "Asians" moving in without upgrading the infrastructure. Leftism hurts them in more ways than one.
“Yes, Spain is phasing out its conventional and nuclear power plants. The country plans to shut down all seven nuclear power plants by 2035, starting with Almaraz 1 in November 2027. In addition, Spain is also preparing to shut down its last coal-fired plant before the end of the year.
Here’s a more detailed breakdown:
Nuclear Phase-out:
Spain has a plan to gradually phase out nuclear power, with all seven reactors scheduled to be shut down by 2035.
Timeline:
The shutdown process is expected to begin in 2027, with the Almaraz 1 plant being the first to close in November 2027.
Coal Plant Shutdown:
In addition to the nuclear phase-out, Spain is also preparing to shut down its last coal-fired plant before the end of the year.
Renewable Energy Focus:
The government is aiming to replace nuclear and coal-fired power with renewable energy sources like solar and wind power.
Economic Impact:
The nuclear phase-out is estimated to cost around 20.2 billion euros ($22.4 billion) for managing radioactive waste and dismantling the plants, which will be covered by a fund supported by the power plant operators.
