I haven’t seen any reporting about what Noem’s security detail was doing that evening, and why they failed to stop the theft. This situation could have turned out a lot worse. Kristi Noem is a high ranking member of the Trump administration, and has played an active role in the arrest and deportation of violent illegals in this country. If they got close enough to steal her purse, they were close enough to physically harm or even kill her. There are a lot of illegal gang members who would have seen this as an opportunity to become a “hero” to their fellow gang bangers (as well as the Democrats.)
