Most people dealing with carotid artery stenosis do not appear to need an operation and can be just as well off as those who got one.

Our sister-in-law had a stroke last night, with carotid artery surgery already scheduled for this morning. They removed life support a couple hours ago.

She had smoked for about 50 years, and we figure that didn’t help.

two septembers ago I had test that showed my left caratid artery was two thirds blocked. that terrorized me. I lost 30 pounds and used a cocktail of drugs and supplements.

A year later I ran the same test and found that my left carotid was completely clear.
