I use Brave as my primary, Google Chrome as a secondary. I used to use Firefox as my primary (and still have it installed on most machines) but the continuous stream of updates kept breaking plug ins. I try to avoid MS Edge.

As a practical matter, both Brave and Edge are customized builds of Google’s Chromium, which is closely related to Google’s on Chrome.

Warning about Brave - some of their features don’t work on Win7 and you are likely to run into the same issues on Win10 once Microsoft abandons it. I do know MS is considering offering life extensions on Win10 for folks willing to pay for it, so I’m not sure when Brave is planning to actually abandon its Win10 customers.

After 3 days of terror and mayhem attempting to learn the cause of a sudden problem with my gmail. I abandoned Brave for Chrome. Brave suddenly decided to, unannounced, no longer support Windows 7 thus gmail. Apparently it had to do with the introduction of AI into the gmail format - or something! Frustrating as I liked Brave - up to the moment they screw me, so never again.

I’ve been on Firefox even back when it was still in the line called Netscape, mostly because I despise anything related to Google or MS. Yes it’s a headache at times but I have had it set up the way I like it for so long.

I do like Brave also and am tempted to try out Vivaldi.
