What is a “content creator”?Basically, Gen-Z's version of a rock star.
And like the rock stars of old, some are more famous than others.

The guy that did “Sylvester The Talking Cat” was a real surprise.

Strange, my internet is working just fine, I don’t believe it to be in any sort of disbelief at all!

We are all content creators.
Every photo, article, post, or Like on the internet is content.

If you spend all your time crafting a fake persona, for the benefit of "friends" you don't know, you'll be unable to cope with the real world.
Hence, being a full time "influencer" and "content creator" will make you mentally ill.

She is Indian two days from her 25th birthday, with no husband and apparently had a law degree, but only a stagnating career of online sales and content peddling. She had not been heard of on line for three weeks. It isn't difficult to figure out this sad ending.

It’s somebody who makes something we don’t have a good word for yet. They’re not making movies or TV shows, definitely not songs, books are not it for sure. But they’re making something, and people are watching it, and maybe even enough people are watching it that the person doesn’t need a “real” job. So right now we call it content. But at some point it will get a real word, since technically everything is content.

I’m guessing it’s the new term for “influencer.” Don’t call us influencers, we’re creators! No, it's not a new term.
I first heard it in the early 1990s. Viacom (CBS, MTV Networks, Paramount) chairman Sumner Redstone famously coined the phrase "Content is king."
By this he meant that it was the content creators (the producers of TV shows and films) rather than hardware manufacturers, exhibitors, retailers, or distributors who held the most power in Hollywood.
Theater owners, DVD manufacturers, cable franchise owners, they held some power. But consumers only really cared about what they wanted to see, not where or on what device they saw it. No one would buy a format, or go to a store or theater, or subscribe to a cable channel, that didn't show what they wanted.

Good one.
Sometimes we don’t know what to call something and sometimes we don’t know what that “something” is.
Nice to her from someone who recognizes and accepts that.

Her sarcasm and rants will be missed.
I guess.

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is opinion or satire. Or both.)
