Are the latter amendments (those after the first ten) part of the "founding document"?

Why exclude the first 10? The bill of rights was not ratified until 1791, a full 3 years after the constitution was ratified. They were changes to the original document as well, albeit we wouldn’t expect any of the media morons who enjoy pontificating on the constitution to know that.
