There are no term limits for senators (although there should be) and a two term limit, with provisions for someone assuming the office midterm (LBJ in 1963 could have run again for his term 2.3), was instituted via the 22nd amendment while Truman was in office.

Was implemented by congress, themselves, who didn’t implement the same for themselves?
Can be reversed. Therefore, to say, it can’t happen, it’s unconstitutional is not true. Could happen with another look at this silliness

Was instituted yes. By congress who didn’t institute the same for themselves. To say it can’t be done it would be unconstitutional them is correct

But it could be re examined along with congress facing the same limits. Stinks of abuse.
